After college and being a newlywed (and picking up the few pounds that happens w/ that) he picked up his shoes and started running. But that just made him feel skinny, not strong. After running in a half marathon, he decided to get back into the weight room. After being talked into a box by a longtime friend over 8 years ago, he’s never looked back. He realized his new passion of making people the best possible version of themselves. Whatever your goal, he wants to help you reach it. She took an internship with Baylor Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic in Dallas, Texas as part of her under-grad. Upon graduating, she moved to Waco, Texas to complete her internship at Providence Hospital in Cardiac and Pulmonology Rehabilitation. She is currently enrolled at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor working towards her PhD in Exercise Physiology. From a young age, she was always making up diet and exercise regimens for family and friends. Nutrition was something she was always passionate about. Her whole life has been dedicated to maintaining and promoting healthy lifestyles for herself and the people surrounding her. During her time at Northwestern State, she began working with personal trainers daily to build onto her already healthy and active lifestyle. From there, she decided to give Crossfit a try. Haylie instantaneously became hooked. Crossfit pushed her to limits she didn’t think she could achieve physically. She fell in love with the multitude of aspects that Crossfit puts athletes through. She was able to embrace her gymnastic background in daily WOD’s which was something she loved to do. After six months of countless workouts, Haylie decided to go for her L1-CF. I am married to Barry Thomason with two children, Daniel and Jennifer.  I have two grandsons, Cannon and Ryker.I retired in 2010. I continued to work with Waco ISD as an interim principal and tutor until 2018.  I help take care of my beautiful grandsons and I am currently serving on one nonprofit board, Friends for Life.  I started JR CrossFit over a year ago at age 64 because I saw the transformation my son went thru with help of CrossFit. It changed the course of his life by improving his health and self confidence. For me, it has shown that I can improve my health even at age 65 thru the support of this community at JR CrossFit

In 2006 after college Jason went on to become a Firefighter/Paramedic for the city of Waxahachie. Jason started doing CrossFit in 2011 and has been hooked ever since. After becoming debt free in 2018, he and his wife moved back to Waco to pursue a career in selling Real Estate. Once again calling Waco home, he serves his community by selling real estate full time and coaching CrossFit. He also volunteers as a part of the worship team at Glory Bell Church in Waco as well as coordinating Financial Peace University.

Cody has always had an interest in sports and fitness, but first got involved in CrossFit in 2017 while living in Pennsylvania. Being the least fit in the gym, he was immediately hooked and determined to make a change to his personal health. Outside of the box I love to run obstacle races, play sports with my family, and kayak. I have always loved sports and fitness, but when I found CrossFit my life was changed forever. I started here at JR CrossFit in April of 2018 and immediately felt like family. As I continue to grow in my CrossFit journey I found a love not only for fitness, but also for nutrition. I am now a dually certified nutritionist and look forward to all of the plans I have to expand my knowledge of fitness and health. In 2010 Zack opened his own production company, Zack Morris Media, creating digital content, branding and marketing materials for a wide range of client.

He has made a name for himself in the Texas Country Music scene, directing music videos and creating promotional pieces for some of the state’s biggest acts. Zack also is a freelance camera operator for several national television shows. Including “My 600lb Life”, “Skin Tight”, “Xtreme Water Parks”, “Fixer Upper”, and “Wood Works”. His work has aired on national platforms such as CMT.com, CMT Pure, GAC.com, AlternativePress.com, TLC, HGTV, DIY Network, Travel Channel.
