With so many JR CrossFit athletes seeing amazing results while working out at home, we decided it was time for another Athlete Spotlight. This week, we talked with Kayla Frost about the JR CrossFit community, working out from home, and much more.
Tell us about yourself: When did you join JR CrossFit?
I joined JR CrossFit in 2019.
What are some of your other hobbies?
Golf, riding bikes and fishing with my kiddos
What was your workout routine like before joining JR CrossFit?
I have been doing CrossFit for about 2 years prior to joining JR Crossfit. I live half of my time in College Station and half of my time in Waco.
Why did you pick JR CrossFit?
It seemed like a great facility and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable
What’s your favorite thing about it?
The Coaches and the community!!!
What kind of progress (physical, mental, etc) have you seen since you started at JR CrossFit?
I have seen progress on both my mental and physical aspects. I have had a mental block for a while that I couldn’t do heavier weights and with some great encouragement I have started to workout with heavier weights.
How has JR CrossFit helped you stay active and motivated during the coronavirus shutdown?
JR Crossfit has done great with giving us content and great coaching during this time. Since I have another Box in College Station to compare, JR Crossfit has done so much to keep us engaged and encouraged during this uncertain time.
What are some of your CrossFit and fitness goals going forward?
Get stronger, stay healthy and lose some weight.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining JR CrossFit?
Just do it!! You will not regret it and you will learn how to push yourself and make some new friends along the way.
