It’s time for another JR CrossFit Nutrition Challenge! Following the incredible progress our athletes saw during our first Nutrition Challenge this year, we’re doing it again! Here’s why you should sign up.
Why you should sign up
At the beginning of this year, we held a JR CrossFit Nutrition Challenge designed to help you kick off 2020 on the right foot. This time around, the focus is on removing those extra pounds you may have gained during quarantine, and getting ready for summer outside.
Through the JR CRossFit Nutrition, you’ll get a variety of help from JR CrossFit for tracking your nutrition. This includes weekly check-ins, meal plans, accountability, and so much more. Nutrition is the most important aspect of CrossFit and is crucial to a healthy lifestyle, which is why we’re here to help post-quarantine!
Accountability is a key to nutrition tracking, as Coach Abby told us:
“It’s all mental. So if you can get your head in the right place and focus on your goals it becomes much easier. Having people you can reach out to and say “Hey I need some helping keeping myself accountable with my nutrition” will make a world of a difference.”
What kind of results can you expect?
During our last nutrition challenge, the competitors saw incredible results. For the females, the overall winner was Delila Amaitsa, who lost 5.4% body fat and over 11 pounds during the 8-week challenge. The runner up was Hellon Morelock with a total loss of 9.8lbs, and body fat loss of 5.2%. Rachel Page came in third place with a total loss of 7.6 lbs and body fat loss of 3.6%.
Here’s what Delila had to say about JR CrossFit’s role in her nutrition journey:
“The Nutrition Challenge itself was super helpful in guiding me with my macro numbers, offering resources and holding all of us accountable. Coach Jai checked in with me about every 1-2 weeks to make sure my macros were giving me results and adjusting them if they were not. We were also held accountable with logging in the days we were at the gym to make sure that we were getting there at least three times a week.”
For the men, Coach Matt was the winner with a total loss of 10 pounds and 2% body fat. Here’s what he said about his journey:
“Rachel (my wife for the uneducated) and I came out of the holiday season a little more…fluffy. Not to the point that anyone could notice except us, but we were out of our comfort zones. We put a lot of work into ourselves and refused to let the holidays take some of that away. We’ve done several nutrition-type challenges before, so we knew what it would take and what we would have to do to get to the places, physically, where we wanted to be.”
